S-PACE is currently an independent project and is not a separate legal entity.
2. Data processed while browsing
During ordinary use of the website, the IT systems and hosting service may process technical data required for the operation and security of the service, such as the IP address, date and time of the request, requested page, server response code and technical information about the browser or device.
These data are processed solely to display the website correctly, protect the systems, detect technical anomalies and comply with legal obligations. The legal basis is the controller’s legitimate interest in the security and proper operation of the website, as well as compliance with any applicable legal obligations.
Technical data are retained for the time necessary for security, maintenance and the investigation of possible unlawful activity, according to the characteristics of the hosting service and applicable obligations. The controller does not use them to profile visitors.
3. Contact by email
The website does not contain contact forms. Its email link opens the user’s email application and allows the user to write voluntarily to info@spaceforpeace.eu.
In this case, the sender’s email address, any name provided, the content of the message, attachments and any other information voluntarily supplied may be processed. These data are used solely to reply to the request and manage any relationship arising from it.
The legal basis is the performance of steps taken at the data subject’s request before a possible relationship is established and, for general communications, the controller’s legitimate interest in replying to and managing correspondence received.
Communications are ordinarily retained for no longer than 12 months after the last relevant exchange. They may be kept for longer where a collaborative relationship is established, where required by law or where necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Users are requested not to send special-category data or information concerning criminal convictions and offences unless strictly necessary and supported by an appropriate legal basis.
4. Newsletter
The website contains an embedded subscription form for the S-PACE newsletter, provided through EmailOctopus. The only information requested for subscription is the email address, together with the user’s explicit consent.
The data are processed to send a monthly newsletter containing news, opinions, updates and words on peace. The legal basis is the data subject’s consent under Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
Subscription uses a double opt-in procedure: after submitting the form, the user must confirm the request through the link received by email. Until confirmation, the address is not added to the active mailing list.
The email address is retained until consent is withdrawn, the user unsubscribes or the newsletter service ends, subject to any limited record needed to respect an unsubscribe request or comply with legal obligations. No profiling is carried out.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time through the unsubscribe link included in each newsletter or by writing to info@spaceforpeace.eu, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
5. Cookies and other tracking technologies
The website does not use analytics, advertising tools or profiling technologies. The embedded EmailOctopus form and its technical anti-spam safeguards may process the connection and device data strictly necessary to display, secure and transmit the subscription request.
If technologies requiring notice or consent are introduced in the future, the website and this notice will be updated before they are activated.
6. Links to external websites
The website contains links to Instagram, publications and other external resources. Apart from the newsletter form described in section 4, these services are not embedded in the pages and receive data from the user only when the user chooses to open the relevant link. From that point, the privacy notices and terms of the respective providers, acting independently, apply.
7. Recipients of personal data
To the extent necessary, data may be processed by the controller and by technical providers used for website hosting, email and newsletter delivery, including Aruba S.p.A. and EmailOctopus, as well as by any authorised professionals or collaborators bound by confidentiality obligations.
Data may also be disclosed to competent authorities where required by law. They are not sold or used for advertising or profiling.
8. Provision of data
Browsing entails the processing of technical data required to establish the connection. Sending an email is voluntary; however, failure to provide the information necessary to handle the request may make it impossible to reply.
Newsletter subscription is voluntary. Without providing an email address, giving consent and completing double opt-in confirmation, it is not possible to receive the newsletter.
No automated decision-making or profiling is carried out.
9. Data subject rights
Where provided by Regulation (EU) 2016/679, data subjects may request access to their personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and may object to processing.
Where processing is based on consent, consent may be withdrawn at any time. Newsletter recipients may also use the unsubscribe link included in each message.

Data subjects may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, following the procedure described at www.garanteprivacy.it.
10. Security and updates
The controller adopts technical and organisational measures appropriate to the relevant risks in order to protect the data processed. This notice may be updated following changes to the website, the services used or applicable law. The current version will always be published on this page together with its last-updated date.
